Berikut cara installasi Windows Media Player 11 tanpa melalui proses validasi Windws Genuine Advantage (WGA):

1. Download file installasi Windows Media Player 11
    >> WMP 11 Windows XP SP 2 DOWNLOAD

2. Ekstrak file wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe dengan software kompresi (Winzip, WinRAR, 7-Zip, dll)

3. Jalankan file hasil dari ekstraksi tadi berikut ini :

• wmfdist11.exe
• umdf.exe
• WindowsXP-MSCompPackV1-x86.exe
• wmdbexport.exe
• wmp11.exe
• wmpappcompat.exe

 4. buka folder berikut ini C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player dan rename file LegitLibM.dll menjadi file lain(misalnya LegitLibM.dllx).

5. Restart Komputer.
